Billing details

Can I change the billing address on a due invoice?

Update your account address for future billing, or ask us to review an unpaid invoice that still contains old details.

Is the customer staying the same?

Use an address update when the account still belongs to the same person or organisation. If the invoice and services need to belong to somebody else, that is an account or service ownership change rather than a simple address correction.

Update your billing address

  1. Sign in to the UKC Client Area.
  2. Open the account menu and choose My Details.
  3. Update the name, company or postal address as required.
  4. Save the changes before creating or paying further invoices.

Check the invoice after updating your account

Open the unpaid invoice again and confirm the displayed billing details. If it still contains the previous address, contact billing with the invoice number and the correction required. We can confirm whether the invoice can be updated or needs reissuing.

Request the correction before payment. Completed transactions and accounting records may need to retain the details that applied when they were issued.

A different payer does not automatically become the customer

Someone else may pay an invoice, but the invoice remains addressed to the UKC account holder. If another person or organisation must become the legal customer and receive future invoices, they should create their own account and the relevant services may need to be transferred.

  • The new customer creates a UKC account using their own legal and contact details.
  • The current account holder authorises the transfer of the relevant service.
  • For domains, registry ownership requirements may also apply.

Changing an address does not rewrite ownership history

Do not change an account to another person's details simply to obtain a differently addressed invoice. Ask us first so services, domain ownership and financial records remain consistent.

Does an unpaid invoice still show the old address?

Update your account first, then send us the invoice number and the corrected billing address. Do not include card or banking details.
