Password security

Why UKC may ask you to update your password

A password update may be required after a security review, suspected exposure, policy change or unusual account activity. Use the genuine UKC billing site and choose a unique replacement.

Respond promptlyProtect domains and services.

Use a unique passwordNever reuse it elsewhere.

Keep 2FA enabledAdd a second barrier.

Why the request appears

UKC may invalidate a password to reduce account risk

This can follow suspicious login patterns, a reported data exposure, a security improvement or evidence that the credential should no longer be trusted.

Change it safely

Type the UKC billing address directly instead of following an unexpected link

Use a password manager to generate a long, unique password. Do not share it with support, and change any other account where the old password was reused.

After the update

Review email security and unexpected account activity

Keep 2FA enabled, secure the account email with its own unique password and 2FA, and report unfamiliar domain, DNS, service or contact changes immediately.
