Plesk email management
Removing a mailbox permanently deletes its server-side messages and stops new mail being delivered to that address. Export anything you must retain and confirm the address is no longer used before proceeding.
Deletion is permanentMessages stored in the mailbox are removed from the hosting server.
Export firstRetain required messages and record any aliases or forwarding arrangements.
Plan future deliveryDecide whether senders should receive a failure or mail should go elsewhere.
Before deleting
Retained messagesExport mail that must be kept for business, legal or account-recovery purposes.
Forwarding and aliasesRecord where mail currently goes and whether other addresses deliver into this mailbox.
External accountsChange the email on banking, registrar, social, supplier and password-reset accounts first.
People and devicesTell affected users and remove the account from phones and mail programs when appropriate.
Change that device’s settings, reset the mailbox password, or remove its access instead. Deleting affects every user and device.

Plesk steps
Log in to the correct Plesk serviceUse “Log in to Plesk” from the hosting service in your UKC Client Area.
Open MailSelect the domain and carefully locate the full email address you intend to remove.
Select the mailboxUse the checkbox and choose Remove, or open the account and use its removal action.
Read the confirmationVerify the address again, then confirm only when the required mail has been retained.
After deletion
Send a test from an unrelated mailbox. If no forwarding or replacement mailbox exists, the sender should normally receive a non-delivery response. Remove the old account from mail applications so they do not repeatedly attempt to sign in.
Deleting the mailbox does not remove the domain’s MX or other DNS records, and it does not delete mail already downloaded to a user’s device.
Deleted the wrong account?
Do not recreate the mailbox and assume its messages will return. A new account with the same address is empty. Recovery depends on the available backup history and is not guaranteed.
Need help?
Include the full email address, hosting service, approximate deletion time, whether you need a restore or a forwarding replacement, and the most recent date the missing mail was known to exist.
Need recovery or are unsure?Open a ticket before making further changes. Never send the mailbox password.
