Choose the credential you actually need to change
Your UKC Client Area login, Plesk panel account and website's FTP/system user can have different passwords. This guide changes the password for direct Plesk panel access.
Open the panel
Use secure single sign-on from UKC
- Sign in to the UKC Client Area.
- Open Services and select the hosting service.
- Choose Login to Plesk and wait for the panel to open.
The button creates a secure one-time panel session, so you do not need to know the direct Plesk password merely to manage the hosting account.
Open My ServicesInside Plesk
Change the panel password
- Select your username at the top of Plesk.
- Choose Edit Profile or open My Profile.
- Enter and confirm a strong new password.
- Save with OK or Apply.
- Store the new password in a password manager before signing out.
Credentials kept separate
This does not normally change other passwords
- UKC Client Area
- Used for billing, domains and support
- FTP / system user
- Used by file transfer and sometimes SSH
- Mailbox password
- Used by webmail and email applications
- Database users
- Used by websites and database tools
Changing one of these when you intended another can stop applications or saved connections from working.
If direct Plesk login is unavailable
Use the UKC Login to Plesk button first. If single sign-on fails or you need the direct username reset, contact support from the account that owns the hosting service.
