Change 2FA method
Prepare the authenticator first, then replace the email method from Security Settings. Complete and test the new enrollment before relying on it.

Prepare
Use a compatible authenticator and make sure you have a secure place for the new backup code. Avoid changing methods on a shared or untrusted device.
Switch
Open Security Settings, disable the current method when prompted, choose Time Based Tokens, scan the QR code and enter the app's current code.
Confirm
Verify that the app code completes a fresh login. If it fails, check automatic time before requesting a support reset.
