Time-based one-time passwords are generated on your device and work without waiting for email. Any standards-compatible authenticator app can be used.

Prepare
Use Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or another compatible TOTP app. Automatic date and time should be enabled because incorrect device time causes valid-looking codes to fail.
Enable
Open Security Settings, choose Time Based Tokens, scan the QR code and enter the current six-digit app code. Never send the QR image or secret to anyone.
Recovery
Test a new login after setup. If the device is lost, the backup code or identity-verified support process can restore access.
