Choose a second factor
UKC supports a six-digit code sent to the login email and time-based codes from an authenticator app. Both protect the account beyond its password, but they suit different users.

Email method
UKC sends a six-digit code to the login email. It expires after ten minutes. A delayed SMS fallback may appear after sixty seconds when a valid UK mobile number is held.
Authenticator method
TOTP works without email delivery or mobile reception. It requires a compatible authenticator app, correct device time and a recovery plan if the device is lost.
Make the choice
Only one primary method is active at a time. Whichever you choose, secure the email account, store the backup code separately and never disclose a live code.
