UKC parked-domain tools

Use the UKC DNS Manager

DNS Manager lets you control website, email and verification records for a domain using UKC parked-domain nameservers. Changes are saved to the authoritative zone, while resolver caches may retain older answers until their TTL expires.

Find DNS Manager

Open the domain from My Domains

  1. Sign in to the Client Area and open My Domains.
  2. Select Domain Tools beside the domain you want to manage.
  3. Choose DNS Manager from the domain menu.

Before editing

The domain must use UKC parked-domain nameservers

DNS Manager is authoritative when the domain is delegated to ns.ukc.uk and ns2.ukc.uk, or the supported Microlite parking nameservers. If another provider is authoritative, edit the zone there instead.

Change a record

Add a new record or unlock an existing one with Edit

Choose Add record for a new entry, or select Edit beside an existing record before changing it. Use A or AAAA for hosts, CNAME for aliases, MX for incoming mail and TXT for policies or verification. Review the host, type and value carefully, save once, and wait for the refreshed record list.

Email-provider presets can prepare several related records together. Preview every proposed addition, update and deletion before applying it.

Check and recover

Use Diagnostics before resetting a working zone

A successful save may not be visible through every resolver immediately because of caching. Diagnostics shows the live route. Restore UKC defaults only when you intend to replace the custom zone, because existing website and email records can be overwritten.
