Parked-domain routing

Forward a parked domain to another website

Web Forwarding sends visitors from a UKC parked domain to another HTTP or HTTPS address. The forwarding setting can be saved at any time, but it serves traffic only while the domain points to the UKC parking server.

Choose a destinationUse a complete URL.

Select redirect typePermanent or temporary.

HTTPS needs securityProtect the parked domain.

Configure

Open Web Forwarding and enter the full destination

  1. Open My Domains and select Domain Tools beside the source domain.
  2. Choose Web Forwarding.
  3. Select the option to edit the saved forwarding route.
  4. Enter the complete destination beginning with https:// or http://, choose the redirect type and save once.

A destination such as www.example.com can be used when that hostname resolves somewhere other than the UKC parking server.

Redirect choice

Use permanent only when the move is intended to last

A permanent redirect tells browsers and search engines the destination has moved. Use temporary forwarding for testing, campaigns or arrangements that may change.

Activation

The source domain must reach the UKC parking route

The root A record must point to 65.108.70.202. If it points elsewhere, that server receives visitors and the saved forward remains inactive. Add Domain Security when the source address must work over HTTPS.
