A .eu domain can be held by eligible EU or EEA citizens, residents and established organisations. Citizenship can qualify even when the individual lives elsewhere.

Eligibility

Meet one of EURid’s qualifying routes

You may qualify as a citizen of an EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway regardless of residence; as a non-citizen resident in one of those countries; or as an undertaking or organisation established there.

Registration data

Use complete and accurate holder details

Provide the legal holder name, address, email and telephone number. When citizenship is the eligibility route but residence is outside the eligible area, the country of citizenship must also be supplied.

Verification

Respond promptly to EURid requests

EURid may verify registration data before or after activation. Keep the registrant email working and contact UKC if the information needs correcting; inaccurate or unverified details can affect the domain.
