Do not weaken mail security to keep Outlook 2010 connected
It no longer receives security fixes. Old Windows or Office components may also fail modern encryption, certificates or authentication.
Recommended path
Move to a supported mail application
- Check whether the Outlook account uses IMAP or POP.
- If it uses POP, back up the Outlook data file because some mail may exist only on that computer.
- Install a supported Outlook release, Thunderbird or another maintained application.
- Add the mailbox using the secure UKC settings below.
- Confirm folders, sent mail and contacts before removing the old profile.
Secure mailbox settings

- Port 993 with SSL / TLS
- POP alternative
- Port 995 with SSL / TLS
- Outgoing server
- Your assigned UKC hostname
- SMTP
- Port 465 with SSL / TLS
- SMTP alternative
- Port 587 with STARTTLS
- Authentication

Short transition only
If you must inspect an existing Outlook 2010 profile
Confirm that outgoing authentication is enabled, Secure Password Authentication (SPA) is off, and the encrypted ports above are selected. Do not enter the Plesk or Client Area password; the mailbox has its own password.
Even if it connects today, that does not make the application safe or supported. Complete the move promptly.
