What it is

A builder for a hosted website

Sitejet Builder is a content-management and visual-design tool connected to Plesk. It lets you choose a template, arrange page sections, add text and images, configure navigation and publish the finished files to the selected hosted domain.

Open Sitejet

Start from the correct hosting service

1. Sign in to the UKC Client Area.
2. Open the relevant web-hosting service. Confirm the service contains the domain you intend to edit.
3. Choose Log in to Plesk. Wait for the Plesk dashboard to open; press the button once.
4. Open Websites & Domains. Select the domain, then its Get Started view.
5. Choose Create Website or Sitejet Builder. The wording can vary slightly with the current Plesk layout.

If it is not shown

Check the subscription and domain

• Confirm you opened a web-hosting service rather than the domain-only toolkit.
• Make sure the domain exists under Websites & Domains on this Plesk server.
• Check that web hosting is enabled for the domain, not forwarding or DNS-only mode.
• Sitejet access depends on the hosting plan and account permissions.
• If the domain is on another UKC server, return to the Client Area and open the matching service.

Send UKC the domain and hosting-service name if the Sitejet control is still absent. Do not create a duplicate domain on another server.

Build the site

Replace the template with real content

1. Choose a template for the site's purpose. Focus on layout and structure; colours, wording and images can be changed.
2. Set the site identity. Add the business or project name, logo, contact details and preferred navigation.
3. Replace every sample section. Check calls to action, prices, opening hours, addresses and legal information.
4. Review responsive layouts. Inspect mobile, tablet and desktop previews and shorten content that creates awkward wrapping.
5. Test forms and links. Confirm the destination email address and open every important link.

Before publishing

Protect the current document root

• Backup available: Existing files and any database can be restored.
• Contact route tested: Forms and displayed addresses reach the intended team.
• Responsive review complete: Essential content works on a small screen.
• Final content reviewed: Sample wording, placeholder links and stock details are gone.

Launch

Connect the domain and enable HTTPS

Publishing creates the website on the hosting service, but public visitors reach it only when the domain's web DNS points to that server. UKC-hosted domains normally use the assigned ukc01.uk through ukc13.uk nameserver pair or equivalent web records at the authoritative DNS provider.

1. Confirm the public web route in the Domain Control Centre or DNS provider.
2. Issue or renew the SSL/TLS certificate for the domain and required www hostname in Plesk.
3. Open the site over HTTPS on mobile and desktop.
4. Test forms, navigation and redirects from the public address.

Ongoing care

Edit, preview and publish deliberate updates

Return to Sitejet from the same domain in Plesk when content changes. Preview the result first, preserve important versions and publish when the update is ready. Keep account access protected with unique passwords and two-factor authentication.

Need help?

Include the hosting location and current state

Tell us the domain, hosting service, assigned UKC server, whether the Sitejet button is visible, whether a site already exists and the exact stage or error. Do not send Plesk or Sitejet passwords.
