Network Connectivity Issue - Resolved

Update - 19:00 UK Time

We are pleased to confirm that connectivity has now been restored and services are operating normally again.

The issue experienced today was caused by a major network outage within Vodafone’s transmission network, which impacted connectivity provided through our upstream carrier, Daisy Communications.

Importantly, our servers, hosting platform, and internal network infrastructure remained fully operational throughout the incident. No UKC servers went offline and no customer data or services were affected internally.

The disruption was caused by a failure within Vodafone’s wider network, which resulted in intermittent connectivity issues for some users attempting to access websites, email, and other hosted services. Vodafone classified this as a large-scale network outage and engineers were deployed to restore the affected transmission circuits.

 

As the fault was within Vodafone’s national transmission network rather than within UKC’s infrastructure, no corrective action was required or possible on the hosting servers themselves.

We appreciate that outages of this nature can be frustrating and apologise for any inconvenience caused. While this issue occurred outside of our direct network and control, we remained in constant contact with Daisy Communications throughout the incident and monitored all services closely until restoration was confirmed.

Network Connectivity Issue - Under Investigation

We are currently aware of an external network connectivity issue affecting some services across our infrastructure.

Please be assured that our servers remain online and operational. However, a connectivity issue outside of our direct control is currently impacting access for some customers and visitors.

Our upstream network provider, Daisy Communications, is actively investigating the issue and working to restore normal service as quickly as possible.

At this time, no action is required from customers. We appreciate that service interruptions can be frustrating, but please be assured that the matter is receiving urgent attention.
